Educational Program

The daycare has an educational program that is proposed by the Ministry of Families, which respects certain differences in approach and protocol.

While children are at the daycare, they will experience different settings which will help them in learning, play-time, meal-time and resting. Children will learn to develop good manners, attitudes and habits. They will also learn values such as creativity, autonomy, respect and teamwork.

Fostering Language Skills

The program is designed to stimulate different forms of linguistic expression: oral communication, artistic expression, body language and basic forms of written communication.

Fostering Intellectual Skills

The program helps children to understand the relationship between objects and events. Children learn to develop their thoughts, reasoning and problem solving strategies. When children are faced with a problem, they are able to observe, ask questions, experiment and come to a conclusion.

Fostering physical and motor skills

Children are encouraged to be more autonomous while respecting physical needs, which include dressing themselves and eating. They also develop a proper understanding of their environment.

Fostering the global and development of the child

Emphases are placed on the process of development instead of acquisition of certain habits. It is very important that every child develop their own special way of interacting with their environment in constructive way.

Developing social and moral awareness

The educational program here is designed to help children develop confidence, a sense of self-worth, self-esteem, while they are completing tasks and reaching their full potential.

Les Petits Paons Inc educational system fosters the interaction between the teacher and the child. The teacher guides the child in his experiences, lessons and explorations, with three goals in mind (respecting the goals of the Ministry of Families): to ensure an environment in which the child can develop with respect, preserving their health, safety and well-being. The program also helps to prevent any difficulties relating to learning, behavior and social integration later on in life.

Activities are developed to help children develop in all dimensions including cognitive, social, moral, linguistic, physical and moral. These activities are designed to help children adapt to a collective living and harmonious coexistence.

The activities which are offered contain and uphold five basic principles of the daycare services.
- Each child is unique
- The child is the primary factor of their own development
- Children learn through games
- The development of the child is an integrative and global process
- Cooperation and collaboration between the administration, staff and parents is very important to the child’s development.

Because each child unique; it is essential for their education to adapt to their personality. We strongly believe that it is necessary to provide the child with freedom and liberty explore their surroundings and imagination during their learning process. The child is the main person on their development; the daycare educators are there to guide and accompany the child to their potential. Children learn through games and this is why we endeavor to make all activities fun.
